Welcome Admitted Students

Dear Incoming Student,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Harvard School of Public Health community.
I am writing with some words of welcome and to provide you with a checklist that may be helpful as you prepare to come to HSPH.  We look forward to having you with us on campus and we appreciate all the intellectual and creative energy you bring.

We worked closely with the 2012 Student Government to put together a checklist to help you as you join us here.  For this year many of the tasks we list will probably already have been completed but we include them as a one-stop reminder and for the helpful links, should you want to review any of the information you have already received.

HSPH is a rich global community, last year bringing together over 1,000 students from more than 70 countries, where diversity is an essential element of our global commitment. The school’s wide-ranging research, multi-disciplinary education, and translation of health knowledge affect individuals, communities, and nations around the world. Here at home, our school is strengthened by our diverse, cross-cultural community of students, faculty, and staff, who bring a multiplicity of voices and viewpoints to our shared endeavors.

As students, you are an integral part of our community of scholars and we value your contributions and participation. I am sure you have set high goals for yourself while here and I encourage you to take full advantage of all that our campus has to offer. You are the reason we are all here and we want to help you reach those goals and make the most of your time with us.

I know that all of us at HSPH offer our services and support to welcome you.  If we in Student Affairs can be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to visit us in person in Kresge G-20 or call (617-432-1036) or email (studentaffairs@hsph.harvard.edu) with your questions and concerns.  I hope your time on campus will be rewarding and you will be challenged in new and different ways.  Once again, welcome to HSPH and we look forward to seeing you here.

Sincerely,
Andy Eisenmann
